A very typical picture in Paraguay is a huge cattle ranch (Estancia). Either in the north of the Chaco or the south till Encarnación, everywhere you will see this for european eyes unusual picture. Many of this cattle ranches are living absolutely autarkic. They produce the things of the daily needs by their own like vegetables, dairy and, of course, meet.
   
  Description:
Day 1: Asunción – Yaguarón – Villa Florida

You will be picked up in the morning at your hotel and leave Asunción following the Route 1 direction south. After a short drive we will arrive in Yaguarón. There we are going to visit the oldest church of Paraguay. It was built by the order of the Franciscans and shows the virtuosity of the Guaraní Indians very well. From Yaguarón it is not very far to get to Villa Florida and the Estancia San Francisco. The Estancia San Francsico is a typical paraguayan cattle ranch with its big drove. Use the afternoon for horseback riding or watch the Gauchos at their daily work. In the evening the kitchen will prepare you the best what the paraguayan kitchen has to offer.

Day 2: Estancia San Francisco – San Ignacio

After breakfast we will make a short visit to the village San Miguel. San Miguel is known for its leather work and clothes. But also the church is a point to visit. It is also one of the last things that are left of the Jesuits. The Jesuits built 15 reductions in Paraguay; also San Ignacio where nowadays is located the most important museum of the Jesuit time. At midday we are back at the Estancia where you have time to spend on your own pleasure.

Day 3: Villa Florida – Asunción

We leave the Estancia after breakfast and drive back to Asuncion where our tour ends.
