Day 1: Asunción – Yaguarón – Bella Vista

In the morning you will be picked up at your hotel and leave Asunción following the Route 1 direction south. After a short drive we will arrive in Yaguarón. There we visit the oldest church of Paraguay. It was built by the order of Franciscans and shows the virtuosity of the Guaraní Indians very well. On the way to Bella Vista we will pass villages like Villa Florida, San Ignacio Guazú, with its most important museum about the history of the Jesuits, Santa Rosa and Santiago. Before visiting the ruins of Trinidad we will have a stop in our hotel in Bella Vista, were we spend the night.

Day 2: Bella Vista – Trinidad – Asunción

After breakfast our tour will bring us to Obligado where we will visit one of the biggest factories of the Yerba Mate. Yerba Mate is the most popular drink in Paraguay. Everywhere in the streets you can see people running around with their thermos flask, their cup which is called “Guampa” and the typical straw which is called l “Bombilla”. In wintertime the paraguayans drink their Yerba Mate with hot water, during summer, so the most of the time, they are using cold water - then the Yerba Mate is called "Teréré".
