Day 1: Asunción – Itaipú – Foz de Iguazú

After breakfast we will leave Asunción following the Route 2 into direction to Ciudad del Este, were we will arrive around midday. After visiting the worlds most powerfull hydroplant Itaipú and the small indian museum „Tierra de los Guaraní“, we are going to cross the border between Brazil and Paraguay. You will be brought to your hotel, were you will spend the night. In the evening you have the possibility to watch a folkloric show with common dances of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay in the restaurant “Rafain” including a typical brazilian barbeque (the Rafain show is optional and not included in the price).

„The big waters“" as the waterfalls of Iguazú are called in the indian language, are the biggest waterfalls in the world. About 275 small falls on a length of 4 km in the middle of the tropical rain forest. The water falls about 90 m into the deep. On different trials you have the possibility to explore the national park and to get a insight of this nonrecurring and unbelievable nature performance. Free time for the rest of the day.

Day 3: Waterfalls of Iguazú, brazilian side – Salto Monday – Asuncion

After breakfast we will leave the hotel to visit the Iguazú waterfalls on the brazilian side. After the visit we drive back to Paraguay by crossing the bridge of friendship witch connects the two neighbour countries. Before driving back to Asunción we turn south to visit the biggest waterfalls of Paraguay: the “Salto Monday”, which means in the language of the Guaraní “thiefs of the water”. In the afternoon we go back to Asunción. Arrival time in the evening.

Parque de las Aves: Bird park righ besides the national park. Course of round about 1 km length with more than 150 diffenrent species of birds; Price per person, approx. 15,00 US-$.
