| In 1854 then-mayor President Francisco Solano López built the first stretch between the center of Asunción and the botanic garden. It was the first train witch was driving in whole South America. Nowadays there is not much left of this glories time. The government decided 1993 to close the railroad down. Since then, there is just a short part of the old route left, witch is used two times a month as a touristic adventure. Relive this part of the paraguayan history and drive from the botanic garden to Areguá. During the way some actors will divert you. The service includes the transfer in & out and the ticket for the train. |
