| This excursion will take you to the surrounding villages of Asunción. The tour begins in Yaguarón, where you visit the baroque church of the. It was build by the Guarani Indians, and shows the capacity of these people in art & crafts. After passing Paraguarí and Piribebuy you will arrive at Caacupé one of the most important pilgrimage places in South America. From there it is a short drive to get to San Bernadino which was founded in 1881 by the sister of Friedrich Nietzsche, a well known german writer. After visiting the village you drive to Aregua. Aregua is one of the capitals of ceramic art & crafts. Your last stop will be Luque were you might find some jewelry in silver. In the late afternoon you finally arrive in Asunción, were you will be brought back to your hotel. |
